I just read on IO9 that Connie Willis won the 2011 Nebula award in the Novel category for her books Blackout and All Clear. Although they were published as two novels, they were really written as one – hence the award is listed as being for Blackout/All Clear.
As I have mentioned before, Connie is in Portales every year for the Jack Williamson Lectureship. I had the bounty in April, 2010 of sitting in a room with here and four other people as she described her research for the books. She is an interesting person and a great author!
