The conference was wonderful. It was great to be in that kind of environment, one where ideas and learning are valued. I got a lot of ideas that I would like to talk to the boss about, but I am not too optimistic that any of them will ever be tried. But that’s OK. One of the things I was reminded of is that I DO, for the most part, have control over what happens in my classroom. So I can implement some of the ideas there.
The ideas I got all require some planning — and are actually about planning, for the most part — so there is nothing I can implement today. I am really anxious to see what I can do, though. Maybe the long weekend will give me a little time to explore this a little.
I will try to post about some of the ideas I picked up over the next few days.
